Something very disturbing is coming out of the Trump White House and it has nothing to do with skin color, immigration or even the economy.
I have said that when I disagree with anyone, I would let my listeners and readers know and I would tell them why I disagree. This time, I cannot agree with the President if he truly does want the government to take over a large private sector in the communications business.
We have something called 5G technology that is expected to be ready for roll out in two to three years. This technology has the potential of being a major game changer in the communications spectrum.
It will be such a game changer that governments are looking at how to use it to their advantage including taking it over within their nations. Our government is considering nationalizing and building a 5G communications grid using federal dollars. And they are saying it would be in the interest of national security.
This is a very bad idea. And this is not what America is all about. Not to mention, government has spent very little in developing and testing this new technology yet somehow government believes it is the best entity to protect it, govern it and disseminate it? No way.
It would be a huge mistake if the government nationalized our communications grid. And it would not be very safe if they did. History has proven that the opposite would happen.
