The eviro-whacos are losing their collective and individual minds. This is stuff you cant make up. Simply put, there is a movement, small for sure, but a movement still that is calling for people the world over to stop eating meat.
They want you to stop so badly that they are willing to propose a hefty tax. Yes a meat tax. The proposal is due to two major leftist ideals.
Your health and the health of the planet.
You see, according to the left, meat is a big, HUGE, contributor to Global Climate Change. In fact if we could just cut down on the number of cattle, (cow, buffalo, etc) pork and chicken, we could save the planet from terrible climate change.
The secondary reason is that not eating meat will mean people will be healthier and live longer. Forget the fact that health and scientific studies have proven that vegetarians are not generally healthier than meant eaters. And in reality the oldest humans on the planet are meat eaters.
But since these idiots hate the fact that you like to eat meat because you are a member of a species that is at the top of the food chain, they want you to stop. Because they said so. And in order to get you to do what they think is best for you, they suggest taxing you to death.
Forget the fact that if you force people to become vegetarians, the demand for veggies will shoot through the roof thus prices will shoot through the roof and there may not be enough food for everyone. Just look at the nation of India where they have millions of people who are starving or malnourished even though they have millions of cows walking around.
So save the planet by starving people, allowing cows to proliferate beyond control and cause people to be less healthy and die sooner. Sound like a fair deal?
