CNN Tries To Eliminate Competition

Let me say for the record, I am not an Alex Jones fan.  I rarely visit his sites and I rarely reference news features he authors.  BUT, it does not mean that he is FAKE News.

Sure, Jones is a Conspiracy Nut.  But there are many folks out there, that are.  And frankly that includes many on the left as well.  What I have noted is Jones, like many other conspiracy theorists, take real factual news or issues and read too much into them.

They see things most of us do not.  It does not mean they are FAKE news.

Besides, CNN has been caught creating, making up, lying about news far more than Jones and his InfoWars sites have.  Yet CNN is on a tear to take down InfoWars.

One has to wonder why this is.  Simple really.  CNN wants them and MSNBC to be the only issuers of FAKE news.  And CNN is still butt hurt about Jones attacking CNN and its host and anchors for actually doing what they are accusing Jones of doing.  Creating and spreading FAKE NEWS.

It can also be argued that Jones and InfoWars has a larger audience than CNN at the moment.

But the reality is that this is very dangerous to have one news outlet try to have another news outlet shut down in a society that honors and believes in Freedom of Speech.

In an article for CNN, senior media reporter Oliver Darcy explains how he tried to convince Facebook top brass to terminate our Facebook presence.

“Facebook invited me to an event today where the company aimed to tout its commitment to fighting fake news and misinformation. I asked them why InfoWars is still allowed on the platform. I didn’t get a good answer,” tweeted Darcy.

I guess, CNN doesn’t believe in this sort of freedom after all.  They continue to show that they want to be the only arbiter  of what is real and what is fake news.

In his CNN piece, Darcy reveals how he asked the head of Facebook’s News Feed John Hegeman, “How the company could claim it was serious about tackling the problem of misinformation online while simultaneously allowing InfoWars to maintain a page with nearly one million followers on its website.”

Hegeman explained that InfoWars has “not violated something that would result in them being taken down.”

Sorry to inform you CNN, but a FAKE outlet like yourself does not have the power nor the right to force another news outlet out of business or off of Facebook, Twitter or anywhere else.

How about you, CNN, focus on actually reporting the real and true news instead of being little children crying to Mother Zuck.  Your rating may improve and you wont have to worry about Jones or InfoWars.
