Moore To America: Screw 2nd Amendment

Michael Moore has decided for all of America that it may be time to ditch the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution.

The rather large movie producer/director is known to be a huge supporter of the far left and its agenda. Moore is on the record for his disdain for parts of the Constitution including the part that protects every American Citizen’s right to own and bear a fire arm.

I, Michael Moore, along with all who support an end to this epidemic of gun violence, propose a new Amendment to our Constitution that repeals the ancient and outdated 2nd Amendment (which was written before bullets and revolvers were even invented)

As you can see, Mr. Moore thinks the Constitution was written even before bullets were invented. I guess a musket ball is not a real and true bullet technically. However, like bullets of today, the musket ball, made out of lead (a highly poisonous heavy metal to humans and most other carbon based life forms) was the bullet of the day. A projectile that when expelled from the barrel of a gun could inflict massive damage to flesh and bone.

I would say the fact that our Founders did not foresee the advent of modern weapons is not a reason to destroy the Constitution. In fact, the Founders would have embraced such weapons being owned by the people since they used the most advanced weapons of their day.

But Mr. Moore does give some thing back. He is not all take, take, take.

replaces it with a new 28th Amendment that guarantees States can have State militias (a.k.a. State National Guards which are made up of citizen-soldiers who are called upon in times of natural disasters or other State emergencies), allows individuals to use guns for sport and gathering food

Isn’t that nice of Mr. Moore and his friends? They will let us hunt and gather food. By the way, a hunting gun can be used to do evil, too, Mr. Moore. But he does not stop there. He tells us why the new amendment needs to be written and enacted…

guarantees everyone the right to be free of, and protected from, gun violence (i.e., the public’s safety comes ahead of an individual’s right to own and fire a gun).

Mr. Moore thinks that everyone has a RIGHT to be free of gun violence. How about any other kind of violence like knife violence? Razor Blade violence? Car violence? Hammer violence? You see Mr. Moore, there are a number of objects that can be used as or easily converted into a weapon. But you don’t believe we have a right to be free from that kind of violence?

And for the record, Mr. Moore. We have public safety because we have guns. Statistics are clear. More guns in the hands of law abiding individuals means less crime in general. The state prove it year after year.

But then, Mr Moore like many of his liberal friends, already knew that guns mean increased safety which is why he and so man of his liberal friends have body guards, most of whom carry at least one fire arm.
